Mission Statement of the NEERHS Library

The mission of the New England Electric Railway Historical Society (NEERHS) Library is to
support the broader mission of the New England Electric Railway Historical Society by
providing members, restorers, historians, planners, modelers, and other researchers access to a
carefully preserved and well-organized collection of resources that chronicle the development of
mass transit technology and operations from 1830 to the present.  Emphasis shall be upon materials related to traditional streetcar and interurban service, including rapid transit, trackless
trolley, and bus service.




The New England Electric Railway Historical Society (NEERHS) Library
is a part of the NEERHS, DBA Seashore Trolley Museum, Kennebunkport, Maine.

    I have been collecting "Everything Salem" for 50 years. My latest project is to explore the history of the convention & event business that is largely over looked. I already have an extensive amount of Salem trolley.history. What might Seashore have regarding special car business
